So this is it! The very last generation one update. It took FOREVER as I was playing like forty minutes at a time once a week for a spell. But in the end I whittled 550ish screens to 102 (not too hard, a lot were me taking pictures of Sims in the wrong bed and badly angled convos) to span the last chunk until adulthood for the triplets.
You know, I thought what Tibs was doing with her hand was funny here but now I am distracted by that baseboard. Mm, quality captions, ahoy!
Data: What is the significance of the cake and candles? As a fleshy human, I should understand this, yes?
Janeway makes a mental list of things more interesting than listening to Data talk.
Which apparently includes doing laundry.
This is what the Not Pinks are doing: assessing Jean-Luc's manliness.
More guitar playing as I just love her face.
I don't know what looks nastier: the 'food' she made, or the stove she used to make it.
The detail is a little lost, but Janeway and Data are both REALLY offended by the stove.
Okay, so as a Star Wars nerd 'Spice Runner' means I suddenly find Lenny much cooler.
Uh, if you squint really hard you can see Demo failing at life here.
So she detonates some shit to feel better. See, football? Those piles of garbage could be YOU!
Although he is a Pink, Data gets to be the Cheekbone club; however you slice it, it's 3 vs. 3 in this family. And every single conversation is about favorite colors. Uh.
Suddenly Demo just looks tired. You know, maybe if she stopped walking around in hot pants with her boobs out, there wouldn't be so many kids in this family. But I can't be bothered to change her PJs, so oh well.
What, Janeway's strange school friend (and possible niece*)? What is causing the crazy eyes? Is it the eye boggling wallpaper?
Oh. Oh I see. It was an unmade bed. That you literally jogged across the house to fix. That is normal guest behavior.
Meanwhile, Demo is still trying to convince people that technology is cool; she is worried that Consignment Shop Guy is too monotone to understand, however.
Seriously, his everything is the same color. Demo can't decide where his face is and decided to cross her eyes in case he is one of those MagicEyes things.
Oh, and Jean-Luc is making mac and cheese for the baby hater.
He also hates crepes.
Here, possible Niece* makes a grave mistake. You do NOT insult the wallpaper.
Janeway: Yeah, yeah, see how you like TIBERIUS, bitch.
Well, she does look more likely to punch someone out.
Demo comes to join the fun. The women of the household (again 3 v. 3!) seriously lined up to sass her one at a time.
Also, I got a little pop-up that Jean-Luc was being Inappropriate and had to go home. Then he had this conversation. What seedy business is my darling little Klepto getting in to?
Demo: How curious! A metal-colored lump of playdoh. I must shape it!
Data: So I have learned that red is the color of passion for fleshy human creatures. Is this true? Would mentioning or wearing the color red entice you to love me?
This is a different day. He just keeps going over there. I have not decided which one of them he is in to.
I just love the wee versions of the large inventions. Frankly, if she's mastered the art of changing an objects' size at will, this household should be loaded. Alas.
Then perhaps they could hire a maid. Tiberius may have sat as far away from the toxic mold as possible, but the serving dish is still right on top of it.
And there's something sentient in the toilet. Just flush it, Data!! Do not get attached!
Oh hey right cool.
... It's... it's just like the catacombs? WHUT, NO! I am so let down.
After that harrowing experience, all she wants is her BF. (no that is right I never married them)
Well, at least the stove has been cleaned.
(Is Jean-Luc trying to hide his Boiled White Mush? It's a surprise, don't look! It's mac and cheese again, J-L).
What. What are you doing!
NO DON'T DO THAT WHY!
Curse my love of autonomy mods.
Yes there were chimes. :[ :[ :[
Tiberius: Mom and Dad! Stop making more of us and FEED THE ONES YOU HAVE!
This was her punishment.
Way to show concern for your like 48 year old mother vomiting urgently, J-L.
Hint: the blank stare means she does not care.
Tiberius: Is he following me? I just want t do the laundry.
Oh don't worry, sweetheart. He'll wait.
Demo: Dude! Who knew that welding is hot and dangerous!
I think it was near this point in playing that I knew Tiberius would be heir... and so did they. *shudder*
!! ! ! ! Master Invention hells yeah!
This is more of her punishment: Supreme Commander'd collecting time.
Wasting no time!
And then Lenny died.
Just kidding. Data turned in to this.
And then I made him over and forgot his glasses. Trait list: Easily Impressed, Light Sleeper, Vegetarian, and Childish (new).
And this happened immediately.
I did send Demo to the hospital, but I clearly couldn't be bothered to wait there. She got: Hates the Outdoors, and Good.
Also Major Kira is adorable forever.
Like I posted: I decided to redo the house. Actually I also moved them in to town and then spent DAYS on this house. This is the only picture I took of it.
Data: Good idea. With the music box playing, there will be no way for them to hear our plot against the Heir.
No gingham in this house. Sorrow. Incidentally she actually looks better without a lot of makeup on.
What? Oh, right. Plotting!
... it was I guess a plot to pray to the music box god for reconsideration.
Sorry guys. You have the combined personality of a bit of twig.
Continuing in the tradition of not making eye contact with infants.
This is during school hours. I guess they got an all-day recess.
Poor thing didn't make it to the bus. Perhaps if you used the LOVELY BED I set up for you instead of continued to play chess?
Data: I'll demonstrate to you who has one-half the personality of a bit of twig.
Data: Oh, look, a baby.
And then I invited Corrine over to marvel at her ears in the EXCESSIVE BLOOM what. Actually just to rebuild their friendship so I wouldn't miss if she and Matt Smith had an adorable no-eyebrowed Dumbo eared baby.
I took away their Gnubb set so this is what they do instead.
Hooray, more promotions?
Corrine is so so not in to Data's awesome sideburns.
Doing. It. Wrong.
Again, this is just a shot of Janeway being pretty.
So while perusing the reward list I realized I don't have to make a Simbot. And why would I!
So this is (apparently) Starla. I was going to change her name and make her humanoid, but then she's a lot less freaky than a Servo and kind of cool.
And, lo and behold, taking away the Gnubb set let Jean-Luc (artistic!) finally begin his masterpiece.
And time is ticking, so Demo better max her Logic soon.
Even the robot doesn't look at the baby.
I understand. It's hard deciding which pawn to move first.
Most angry LTW fulfillment face ever.
This is Demo tutoring Tiberius in handiness. Or, really, letting her know that she'll be responsible for the baby making around here.
Later, she realizes what she's done. If Tiberius is going to take the torch soon, she has so much left to do!
And I realize that I won't be able to blow things up any more. So we do that.
Sparkle time OR The Loss of a Father's Love?
Oh. Sparkletime. And I will not lie. I cannot be bothered to make her over. So here is Nerys, upsetting the 3 v. 3 balance by being a girl, a Pink, and a Cheekbone. Way to go.
Just a shot of the whole family. Um. Except for Nerys and the Robot.
!!!!!!! !!!!!! !!!!
Oh nevermind first lets look at Nerys not understanding color coordination but being the first toddler to pursue an activity more interesting than blocks.
I go into a small panic about the dwindling family finances thanks to the new house, and send Demo out to build another Time Machine for selling.
And in the midst of a genuinely awful party, sparkle time. Way to wait for your mother. Or the cake!
So we get our second generation heir, all growed up. And I won't lie. I am actually used to her face.
Jean-Luc becomes this.
One last teen Janeway.
And this is the only shot I took of her as an adult before kicking those two out of the house. Um.
Anyway, full trait list:
Jean-Luc: Dramatic, Artistic, Genius, Kleptomaniac, Bookworm ; LTW: Posses 50k of stolen goods
Janeway: Schmoozer, Exciteable, Genius, Friendly, Perceptive ; LTW: To be Leader of the Free World
I did a picture for Tiberius, later.
The first thing un-selected Demo does. At this point I began to feel a little sad.
Then she played with Nerys, at which point I felt guilty. Did she secretly want to be a more hands-on mother? Ah well. Bye-bye, playable Demo (... I did not do that on purpose)
Here is the ultra-awesome picture I took of YA Tiberius. Her LTW is to be worth 100k.
And that's the end of generation one. Next time: Tiberius is good at money and bad at love.
*Possible Niece: I was reading a wiki and apparently Lenny has a pregnant daughter at the start of the game! Well, the family ties got borked or I would have figured it out eariler: I was able to locate the daughter and rebuild the tie to Lenny, but her mother and baby were gone. Based on maths, if the kid was born and didn't move out or die, then this Sim is one of the few at the right day-age in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, the family link doesn't exist under Jenni or Goodwin (the parents).
Current Mood: chipper
